ITALIAN AMERICAN SPECIALTIES IN THE HEART OF BUSHWICK

Specializing in Italian-American classics, Chef Dom was inspired to open Carmenta’s due to the lack of authentic, delicious, and no-frills Italian food in the neighborhood. Dom's parents immigrated to New York from Naples, Italy and settled down roots in Queens, New York where he was born and raised. His earliest memories are being in the kitchen with his mom where he developed a love and passion for cooking. Sunday Supper was the highlight of the week in his household, with his mom making Mafalda with meat sauce which was the very first menu item on the Carmenta's menu in 2018. From meatballs to arancini, everything on the menu has been inspired by growing up as an Italian American in New York. 

Stop in for house-made pasta, homemade mozzarella, and sandwiches. Eat-in or take anything to go.
